The objective of this project is to integrate eye-tracking with Virtual Reality (VR) making the interaction with VR objects more natural. The idea is to allow the users to utilize their eyes as the pointing tool. In this project, object finding process has been reduced to a 2 step task of gaze pointing and selection. This helps in reducing the head movements in a VR environment and hence lowers the chances of discomfort.
● Integrate eye tracking with VR using Pupil Labs eye tracker with HTC Vive Pro and Tobii eye tracker with Windows system.
● Track the user's gaze in order to highlight 3D scene objects in focus. Red circle shows center of gaze.
● Press hair trigger on the controller to select the object in focus and make it disappear.
● A small audio clip plays on selection and the score updates on the scoreboard
● Press touch pad on the VR controller to move slide ahead or navigate around the 3D house.
● Player wins over finding all the 15 objects and a winning audio clip plays.
